Haiti Action Committee sends its deepest condolences to the families and friends of all those killed in the April 19th massacre of the Toboso  19. We know this attack could not have occurred without the direct involvement and military aid and assistance from the U.S. to the Philippine government.

We especially send our love and solidarity to our Filipino comrades, who will deeply miss Lyle Prijoles and Kai Dana Rene Sorem.

As activists in solidarity with Haiti, we understand only too well what it means when a nation is subjected to state terror.  When whole populations are threatened and killed and thousands of people are displaced from their lands solely for the benefit of corporate greed. We know what it means when international law is violated and massacres occur on a regular basis.  This is true for the people of Negros and many other parts of the Philippines, just as it is true for the people of Haiti, who too, are resisting U.S. imperialism.

The only answer is to foster and build international solidarity – and you have ours.

From Haiti to the Philippines:  One Struggle!  One Fight.
