UNIFA is a shining star in the determined efforts of Haitians to build a new and democratic Haiti. Since reopening in 2011, UNIFA has graduated 230 new doctors, 78 new nurses, 8 physiotherapists and 30 lawyers, providing young people with the skills and knowledge to lead their country forward.
Now UNIFA is launching its most ambitious project to date. It is constructing a new medical center and teaching hospital that will provide UNIFA’s students in the medical sciences with practical experience and at the same time provide urgent medical care to those in the region who are unable to access health care.
Haiti Emergency Relief Fund has a goal to raise $3.5 million over the next year to complete construction of the hospital. Your tax-deductible contribution can be an important step in making this vision a reality.
